Incantations

Charm
Incantation: “Misceo satis verbis”

Level Effect: 5 mins Charm Lasts
Description: This spell enchants a living being into an intense liking of you. They suddenly consider you their closet friend, their blood relative. Someone they count on and can be counted on. This does not change their personality, morals, beliefs or other core characteristics. But it does make them very likely to be convinced to do things they normally would not. A Charmed Guard may allow their new best friend through, because they have a really good reason! The caster must have higher levels in Charm than the target has in Determination to work. Multiple uses of Charm on a single target over at least 3 days and treating the target well during that time creates a Charmed. The Charmed thinks of their Charmer as a friend when they are not charmed and can be charmed for 10 minutes per level of Charm, rather than 5. If the caster directly attacks or endangers someone they have Charmed, the Charm immediately breaks and they will now be Immune to further Charms from that caster.

Description: This Spell can carry a short message of 1 to 2 sentences a great distance. The message is spoken out loud and will be repeated to the receiver as a voice recording.


Lightning Bolt
Incantation:
“Fulmen.”

Level Effect: Damage of Lightning Bolt
Description: This spell causes a bolt of lightning that strikes target opponent in the chest, doing damage to that location equal to the levels of this spell.

Shield of Air
Incantation:
“Aeris scutum.”
Range:
Touch
Level Effect:  2 Protection rating of Shield per rank
Description: This spell causes a wall of Air to appear around the recipient, protecting for a Shield rating equal to 2 per level of this spell. If you cast this spell on another person, you must touch them.

Illusion
Incantation:
“Stulte facie tua.”

Level Effect: Minutes illusion lasts
Description:
The caster creates an illusion that confounds all senses to people in a 20’ radius. It lasts for minutes equal to levels in this spell. Those attempting to see through the illusion must have Life Spell: Clear Sight, or have some sort of ability to resist Illusions, in which case, they challenge against levels of this spell.

Hide in Shadows
Incantation: In umbra celare.”

Level Effect: Minutes target is invisible
Description: Target has to be next to a solid structure (tree, wall, etc.) or a shadow to attach the illusion to, which allows the target to become invisible. Must be cast out of sight of anyone while casting or they can see through the illusion. Player uses a black veil over them to represent that they are invisible. The Target remains invisible for minutes equal to ranks in this spell, unless released. May not move.

Lightning Blade
Incantation:
“Fulma ensis”
Range: Touch
Level Effect: Amount of damage the Lightning Blade deals
Description: This spell causes a bladed weapon to become sheathed in lightning allowing the wielder to do "magic" damage for one encounter. When striking with this weapon you must call “Lightning Blade” and the ranks in this spell, which is its damage (no modifier.)

Lightning arrow
Incantation: “Fulmen Sagitta”
Range: Touch
Level Effect: 2 lightning damage per rank
Description: This spell causes a single arrow to become sheathed in lightning allowing the wielder to do "magic" damage for one attack. When attacking with this arrow you must call Lightning arrow and it’s damage.

Push
Incantation: “Ventilabis”

Range: Touch

Level Effect: Push a target 10ft away from the caster per rank

Description: A gust of wind pushes the target


Potions

Draught of Night
Ingredients
: 2 Black Feathers, 1 black candle- melted
Level Effect: Hours target is invisible
Description: This potion summons a thick black cloud that shrouds the target in darkness then removes them from sight. Target becomes invisible for hours equal to levels in this spell. Player uses a black veil over them to represent that they are invisible. May move normally. If made into an Enchantment on a Parasol or umbrella, it will allow a vampire to pass into sunlight.

Astral Walk
Ingredients
: 1 White Feather, 1 White Flowering herb, 1 length of white cloth
Level Effect: Days the target is Incorporeal
Description: This potion turns the drinker Incorporeal. They appear to be translucent and float slightly. Players should wear a white veil to represent this. The character can interact with other characters and even cast radius spells; however they cannot touch anything, nor take damage.

Follow Fairy
Ingredients
: 1 Neuma hair, 1 feather, 1 personal item
Level Effect: 50’ per level the target will be followed.
Description: This potion creates a ghostly glowing ball of light that will follow the target’s trail, allowing the drinker to track the target until found. By using two items of two individuals, this potion will find the closet member of that species.

Ritual

Dispel
Incantation: “Pelle et infortunii.”
Ingredients
: 6 Crystals, 6 White Feathers, 6 White Tree Branches

Level Effect: Level of Spells that can be removed
Description: Clears one target of all spells of the same school of magic and therefore all spell effects that they are currently under.
Disenchant
Incantation:
“Nemo hic missus est Magia”
Ingredients
: 5 Crystals, 5 White Feathers, 12 White Tree Branches
Circle:

Level Effect: Days the Ritual remains
Description: Creates an area where no spells of the same school of magic work. The area will remain disenchanted for days equal to levels of all casters in this spell. Ardor may be spent to extend the effect by one day per Ardor spent. It is important to note that this Ritual only works on SPELLS (Incantations, Potions and Rituals.) In other words, it does not affect naturally occurring magic effects, ones a creature is born with, nor magics powered by pools other than Ardor. Also when the target passes out of the area, all their spells work normally. IE it does not destroy spells already in effect.
