Level Effect: 10 seconds weapon must be on the ground before recovered
Description: This spell causes the target to drop its weapon; the weapon must fall to the ground for a 10 count per spell level before being recovered.
Freeze
Incantation: “Frigidus”
Range: Touch, Spell Ball
Level Effect: 10 seconds of Freeze per level of spell
Description: This spell causes the target to be frozen in place; they may not move or make sounds, for 10 count per spell level. During this time, they will not take any damage.
Wash
Incantation: “Lava”
Range: Touch
Level Effect: Clean one cubic foot per rank of all dirt and debris
Description: Thoroughly soak an object, cleaning it.
Potions
Comprehend Languages
Ingredients: 1 piece of parchment, 1 quill, 1 ink well, 1 tongue(Entrails)
Level Effect: Hours of duration
Description: This potion allows the character to understand any spoken or written natural language. This comprehension lasts for 1 hour per level of potion.
Ritual
The Ritual of Knowledge
Incantation: “Ego quaerunt lucrum Scientia”
Ingredients: 1 scroll or book, 1 quill, 1 ink well, 1 monster or sentient heart, 4 crystals
Circle: 10’
Level Effect: Level of Knowledge obtained.
Description: The caster places the writing supplies in the center of the circle, surrounded by the crystals and places the heart on top of it. Enacted by speaking the incantation to the heart and placing it on the writing supplies, the caster may then ask for knowledge of a subject and a book containing useful knowledge on the subject will appear as the heart is consumed. The subject cannot be mystic or arcane in nature. It is said that these books are pulled from the ether around the Discarded World and are actual books that existed in some world but were destroyed or lost.
Create River
Incantation: “Amnis fera”
Ingredients: 4 vessels (preferably silver,) fluid, a large cauldron, barrel or empty pool, 4 sea shells
Circle: 10’
Level Effect: Number of times Vessel will fill with water
Description: The caster arranges the ingredients in alignment with the cardinal directions with the large empty vessel in the center. The caster puts whatever fluid they can into the 4 vessels. Water is an obvious choice, but this spell is often performed when there is a severe draught. Really any fluid will work and there are tales of casters melting metal to fill the cups in desperate times. The caster says the Incantation at each cup and then returns to the empty vessel which will begin filling with crystal clear, pure, clean water. It will fill once for every level in this spell.
Name Change
Incantation: “notus sum”

Description: Changing one’s name is generally as easy as introducing yourself, but sometimes more drastic or official means are needed.

5….. Even stubborn/ unkind people remember your name correctly.
6….. No on remembers your old name.
7….. Your old name never existed, even you can’t remember it.
Oath
Incantation: “Luro hoc iuramentum”
Ingredients: 1 scroll, 1 inkwell, 1 quill, Blood of all parties involved
Circle: 10’
Level Effect: Ranks of Phantom Damage incurred if the oath is broken
Description: This ritual creates a binding contract of which 2 or more parties agree too. The parties must be fully aware of the contents of the contract and freely agree without any coercion or magic, or the Oath will fail. If either party fails to uphold their end of the bargain, they will suffer phantom pain until they correct the problem, or the other party releases them from the Oath.
Geas
Incantation: “Adiuro te ad voluntatem meam”
Ingredients: 1 scroll, 1 inkwell, 1 quill, 1 heart, 1 mushroom, 1 crystal, Blood of all parties involved
Circle: 10’
Level Effect: How inconvenient the terms of the binding. Storyteller discretion.
Description: A Geas or Curse is no laughing matter. Often placed by a Neuma, these binding spells are formatted in an If, Then statement. Such as “If you lie, your tongue will swell.” These are generally unbreakable, although the caster can lift them at will. If the Curse is a higher level than the Character currently is, then the possibility of the Curse, or its effects killing the character can be a danger.

Incantation: “Quid hoc es”

Level Effect: Get one descriptor or detail on an object or person you can touch
Description: A voice speaks one detail per rank about an object or person you can touch, the voice is audible to everyone around
